I really have been blessed these last few months despite all the trials I have had to overcome. The main reason for this post is to just say thank you to all my friends, family and aquaintences for their love and support. I would love to mention everyone that has impacted my life with positive words and smiles but that would take sooooooo long… I am not trying to randomly select or show favouritism on people but there are a few I would like to mention… Thank you all again… 🙂
Mum: For simply being you. Looking after me and making the most out of a tough situation. For never giving up on anything. Especially me. But mostly, for taking care of me not just whilst I had cancer… but for the last 20 years of my life… 🙂 Love you Mum x x x
J.P: For supporting the family through this time and taking the time off so my mum could be with me at every single chemo session. Thanks for everything, even if I don’t say it enough. I really appreciate all you do for me. xx
Keri and Paul: For taking me out for meals and trip every other week to give me something to look forward to in between chemo sessions. For always listening to my troubes and laughing and embarassing ourselves in public. Really helped me get through this time more than you could both ever know! Love you both so much for all you do.
Janet and John: For providing me with my own space which is something I will truly never forget. Opening your home to me over these last few months has been a blessing unlike no other. Thank you for your hospitality, love and kindness. There needs to be more like you both in the world. A truly inspirational couple and my adopted aunt and uncle. 🙂
Tom Longhurst: Without a doubt you were my survival kit the first and toughest few time of chemo and throughout. Always there for me. I could never forget how kind you are and what an impact you have had on my life. Thank you for being a true friend. 🙂 Your visits really helped see me through.
Beth Williams: My best friend. Although we are miles apart you have always been at the other end of the phone and no one can replace our friendship and what we had those first few months at starting university. You will always be my best friend 🙂
Emily Raven, Naomi Craker and Laura Caller: Your letters and cards throughout the year kept me in touch with university life and you kept me in the geography nerd circle 😛 I love you girls oh so much! I have kept all of the things you’ve sent and will treasure them forever. Cannot wait to see you all in Septemeber 🙂
Samuel Chapple: For all the phone calls and prayers. I really have missed you. Such a great friend.
Tafadzwa Moyo: Where would I be without you? Your gifts, your cuddles, your laugh, your kindess and the fact that you would go out of your way to see me speaks mountains about our friendship. We really are two best friends who will always be connected in so many ways. You are an inspiration and one of the family. I love you very much!
Everyone’s kind and encouraging words on facebook throughout my time has been really appreciated. I do love you all for following my progress and keeping me in your prayers. I also want to thank the Swaffham and Litcham Hospice as they provided the drivers to transport me to Addenbrooke’s from day one for all my appointments. They also provided me with headscarves and prepared me for what could be expected before it happened. A truly wonderful help. http://www.swaffhamandlitchamhomehospice.co.uk/
Also, to Addenbrooke’s staff for their knowledge and support in treating my cancer and seeing me through these last 6 months. This also includes Mr.McArdle from Derriford Hospital in Plymouth who put everything in place for me to come home to. A wonderful consultant.
Finally and most importantly to the Lord. His grace is sufficient and without Him I would have struggled no end. He was the reason I kept positive. I really love my God, my heavenly Father who was, is and is to come! On that note, this bible verse is definately for the win!
2 Corinthians 12:9
New International Version (NIV)
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
And Amen to that 🙂 This really sums up my thoughts about these last 6 months!
Take care and God Bless!
