Dear friends,
I am writing today with the intention to write very few words. My heart is troubled within me as I have read someone’s grieving words over the loss of an unborn child. I can not empathise for I have not experienced such a loss. I can only sympathise and try and offer comfort. But what comfort could possibly be enough? They are angry with God. If there was a God, how could he allow such suffering? Suffering is something that I have written about several times. But it is a subject that I will continue to learn about, because in this world we are faced with it every day somehow.
All I pray for right now is comfort to fill up those that are mourning the death of a loved one. I just want them to be filled with an unexplainable peace. I know that I will never have all the answers. I am not called to have them all. If I did, could you imagine the crazy amount of demand and pressure from everyone? I just rest assured in the one who knows. Who is there in the silence when they are left alone and weeping. Who can console a broken heart. Who can provide a comfort in times of trouble.
I am at a loss for words. But sometimes the best and most prominent things come to us in the silence.
Maybe tomorrow, there will be more words. But for now, I just have to give this troubled heart to the God who triumphs over the pain. And he will be the only source of comfort for this troubled heart of mine.
-But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you.
Psalm 39:7
-Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Ecclesiastes 11:5
‘As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.’
Psalm 34:18
‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’
Revelation 21:4 – A Hope Ahead for those who want to know God and what is to come…
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Even in the hardest times, I pray that God will strengthen you. Even when you’re at your most thankful, praise be to God.
Faith in Action!
Hebrews 11: 1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
God Bless,
Ruthie 🙂
