Somebody blessed me with a copy of this devotional and I still have no clue who gave it to me. My sincere thanks once again! It came at a great time as I was new to being a mum and my word for 2018 is courage.

She draws on her own experiences of bravery as she gently leads us into a place of reflecting on our own steps to becoming brave. Each day has a bible verse followed by a thoughtful message from Annie. It ends with a practical step to help us on a journey of being courageous in our lives.
The book is in different sections looking at different aspects of being brave from starting out on the journey to being brave, being who you are, being brave in believing God, having dreams, working hard, loving others, facing change, persevering, pursuing healing, serving and being brave where you are. I found myself skipping ahead rather than being patient and doing it a day at a time. I think I just wanted to find out what the next day was all about because I am so keen to be brave – funny, I know.
This devotional would make an excellent gift for teenage girls as it is down-to-earth, packed with encouragement and is a step-by-step, practical way of looking at everyday life. I think her tone is more geared to a younger audience, although older readers would benefit from her call to being brave too. It is written with humour, love and it feels as if Annie is really cheering you on to be bold and courageous right where you are in your life and it is packed with her own experience, which she communicates like she is chatting to a friend.
I felt like God was confirming to me to ‘be brave’ through Annie’s words. Thankful that someone took the time to purchase it for me.
